The Night Is For Being Real
It is late, and the house is finally quiet, but you are still standing in front of the mirror. You are rehearsing the exact angle of your smile, practicing the calm look you will wear tomorrow so no one asks if you are okay.
You are building a mask so perfect that even you might believe it. But the light does not need your performance.
It does not need the rehearsed face or the steady voice. There is a truth that lives inside you, and it will be with you forever, whether you wear the mask or not.
You do not have to convince the darkness that you are fine. The light sees the exhaustion behind your eyes, and it loves what it sees there.
Put the mask down. The night is for being real, not for being ready.
