The Light Sees You in the Silence
You sit in the car with the engine off, the mask finally slipping, and the silence rushes in to fill the space where the performance used to be. No one knows you drove away.
No one knows you needed to breathe. You feel invisible, not because you are hidden, but because you have been playing a part so well that no one sees the person underneath.
But the light sees you right here, in this parked stillness, exactly as you are. It does not need the show.
It does not need the smile. It only needs you to stop long enough to remember who you are when no one is watching.
The silence is not empty; it is the place where the real you finally comes home.
