The Light Needs No Recipient
You reached for the phone to share a small, funny thing from the morning, and your thumb hovered over a name that isn't there anymore. The silence in the room got louder than the joke.
That hollow space where a conversation used to be feels like a physical weight tonight. But listen — the light does not need a recipient to be real.
There is light within a person of light, and it lights up the whole world, even when the world is just this quiet room and you. You were not made to shine only when someone is watching.
You were made to shine because that is what you are. The observation was still funny.
The joy was still real. And it did not vanish just because it landed on the floor instead of a screen.
