You keep the noise going because you are afraid of what the silence will say. If you stop moving, you think the screaming inside will finally be loud enough to break you.
But the silence is not a void waiting to swallow you. It is a presence that has been waiting to hold you.
The light came from the place where light generates itself, and it lives in you still. It was there before the screaming started.
It will be there when the screaming stops. You do not have to outrun your own voice.
You only have to let the light sit with you in the quiet. The noise was never your protection.
