You Are the Light Behind the Glass
You caught your reflection in the shop window today and didn't recognize the face staring back. The person in the glass looks tired, wearing a smile that doesn't reach the eyes, performing a version of okayness that feels heavy to carry.
It is shocking to see the gap between who you are inside and what the world sees on the surface. But the light sees behind the mask you wear to get through the morning.
It knows the exhaustion of holding it all together while breaking apart inside. You did not earn this light by looking perfect, and you cannot lose it by looking tired.
The face in the window is just the vessel; the glory is the one living inside it. You are not the reflection you failed to recognize.
You are the light that makes the reflection visible.
