Stop Rehearsing Your Apology for Grief
You are rehearsing the speech again. The one where you apologize for the tears, for the heaviness, for taking up space with your sadness.
You smooth the edges of your voice so you won't burden anyone. But the light does not need your performance.
It sees the secret room where you weep, and it is not offended. It is present.
Thomas said if you bring forth what is within you, it will save you; if you bury it, it will destroy you. Your grief is not a mistake to be corrected.
It is the very thing the light came to hold. Stop rehearsing the apology.
The one who sees you in secret has already said: your faith has healed you. Go in peace.
