Held in the Silence You Fear
You are holding your breath so the person beside you won't wake up. You have become a statue of silence, terrified that a single sob will break the peace and force you to explain the unexplainable.
But the light does not need your performance to stay close. It is not waiting for you to speak; it is already listening to the quietest part of you.
Jesus once sighed before he healed a man who could not hear — a deep, groaning breath that said, "I feel the weight of this silence with you." That same presence is in the room, matching your rhythm. You do not have to carry this alone in the dark.
The light is strong enough to hold your grief without you having to say a word. You are not hiding from God; you are being held by God in the very stillness you think is hiding you.
