the private rehearsal of your own eulogy to see if anyone would actually miss you

You Do Not Need to Be Missed

This hour is heavy enough to make you rehearse your own ending, just to see if the silence afterward would prove you were ever really here. You count the names in your head, wondering who would actually miss you if you vanished into the dark.

But listen — the light does not wait for a eulogy to know your worth. It was shining inside you long before you drew your first breath, and it will remain long after your last.

You are not defined by who remembers you, but by the One who knows you so intimately that He has written a name on your heart that no one else can read. The darkness lies when it says you are expendable.

You are the place where God has chosen to dwell. You do not need to be missed to be loved; you only need to be here.
