Rest Is Not A Betrayal Of The Suffering
The world is moving fast right now, and you are standing still, feeling guilty for needing to breathe while others are still bleeding. You wear the mask of okayness because it feels wrong to rest when the storm hasn't passed for everyone else.
But the light does not demand your exhaustion as proof of your love. There was a father who saw his son coming home from a long way off — he did not wait for the boy to clean himself up or prove he deserved welcome.
He ran. Before the apology, before the speech — he ran.
Your rest is not a betrayal of those who suffer. It is the place where you remember you are held, so you can hold others without breaking.
The light shines not because you are strong, but because it is already inside you, waiting for you to stop performing and just be.
