The Father Ran Before You Spoke
The words circle in the dark, sharp and ready, but your throat stays closed. You rehearse the apology you are too proud to speak, then imagine them slowly accepting that you don't care.
That story is a lie the silence tells you to keep you small. The light does not need your perfect speech or your defended heart.
It simply waits in the room with you, brighter than the shame. There is a father who saw his son coming home from a long way off.
He ran. Before the apology, before the speech — he ran.
The distance between you and them is not as wide as you think. The light has already crossed it.
You are not your silence.
