You Were Never Dirty to Begin With
The water is hot, but it isn't hot enough to wash away the shame of having fallen apart. You scrub until your skin is raw, trying to remove the evidence that you broke.
But the light does not see a stain that needs bleaching. It sees a wound that needs holding.
There was a woman once who washed feet with her tears, and the voice in the room did not tell her to clean herself up first. It said her many sins were forgiven because she loved much.
You are not being punished for your collapse. You are being loved through it.
The scrubbing stops not because you are finally clean, but because you were never dirty to begin with.
