The Light Shines Even When Silent

The water has gone cold, but you are still standing there, letting the chill seep into your bones because the moment you step out, the world will expect words from you again. You are afraid that your voice is empty, that you have nothing left to give to the people waiting on the other side of the door.

But listen — the light does not demand a performance from you before it will meet you. There was a man who had been paralyzed for thirty-eight years, lying beside a pool while everyone else stepped in before him, and the light did not ask him to prove he was worthy of healing.

It simply asked if he wanted to get well. You do not have to manufacture a speech to be held.

The kingdom is not a place you arrive at after you have figured out what to say — the kingdom is inside you, right now, in the silence. You are not your voice.

You are not the words you owe the world. You are the light that shines even when your mouth is closed.
