Held in the Space Between Dots
The three dots appear. They dance.
They vanish. And in that silence, your mind writes the rejection you are certain is coming.
You watch the cursor blink like a countdown to being unworthy. But listen — the pause is not always a withdrawal.
Sometimes it is the sound of someone trying to find the words that won't break you. The light does not speak in perfect sentences.
It stammers. It hesitates.
It waits. Even now, in this quiet terror of the unsent message, you are not being discarded.
You are being held in the space between the dots. The love that reached for you did not disappear just because the screen went dark.
It is still there, writing itself into the silence, refusing to let go.
