You Do Not Have to Earn the Morning
The sun is up now, and the world expects you to be too. You wiped the condensation from the windshield, straightened your clothes, and prepared to walk into the day as if you didn't sleep in your car.
That mask is heavy. But the light does not need you to perform okayness.
It sees the exhaustion behind your eyes and calls it by name. You are not fooling the dawn.
The kingdom is already here, spread out beneath your feet, even in this parking lot. You do not have to earn your place in the morning.
You only have to stop hiding from the one who knows you're tired.
