Stop Apologizing for Your Light
The sun is up, but your mind is still in the room where you said too much. You are rehearsing the apology for making them uncomfortable with your pain.
Stop. The light does not ask you to shrink your grief to fit their comfort.
There is light within a person of light, and it lights up the whole world. If it does not shine, it is dark.
Your sorrow is not a burden you dropped on them; it is the light breaking through the surface of your pretending. You came from the light, and you do not need to apologize for carrying it.
The morning is not a demand to be smaller; it is an invitation to be real. Walk out of this house without the speech you wrote in the dark.
