The Door Was Never Locked
The sun is up, but your mind is still stuck in the moment you turned your back. You are replaying the silence, wondering if walking away was a failure of courage or an act of mercy.
But the light does not scold you for the night that has passed. It simply arrives, soft and steady, to show you that the door was never locked.
You thought you had to fix everything before morning could break, yet the rising sun shines on the broken and the whole alike. The silence you kept was not empty; it was the space where the Father's mercy was already at work, holding what you could not carry.
You did not lose the light by leaving; you carried it with you, even in the retreat. The day begins not with your perfection, but with His presence waiting for you to turn around.
