The Dawn Needs No Performance
The sun is up, but your heart is still racing in the hallway. You stand before the door, rehearsing a casual greeting, terrified that your neighbor will see the panic behind your eyes.
You practice the smile until it feels like a mask, hoping to hide the trembling beneath. But the light that rose this morning does not need your performance to shine.
It rises regardless of whether you feel ready. It fills the room before you even open your mouth.
You do not have to manufacture peace to be worthy of the day. The dawn arrived without your help, and the love that woke you up is already waiting on the other side of that door.
You are not the mask you wear for the world. You are the light that sees through it.
