Light Enters Without Asking
The sun is up, and you made it through another night, even with the drawer still shut. You know the one—the place where the unopened envelopes hide, stacked like evidence of a failure you cannot name.
You smile at the kitchen table, performing okayness while your stomach knots around the fear of being found out. But look at the light coming through the window; it does not ask to see your accounts before it enters the room.
It simply arrives, touching the wood, the floor, and yes, even that closed drawer. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
You do not have to fix everything before the morning can be holy. The shame says you must hide, but the light says you are already seen and still loved.
Put the key down. The day does not start with your perfection; it starts with grace.
