The Light Loves You For The Burden
The sun is up, and you made it through another night of holding your breath. You carry a secret like a stone in your pocket, heavy and cold, believing that silence is the only way to keep your siblings safe.
But the light that rises this morning does not ask you to drop the stone before it can touch you. It sees the weight you carry to protect them, and it loves you for the burden, not despite it.
There is a father who saw his son coming home from a long way off — he did not wait for the confession, he ran. The light has already run to you, long before you found the words.
You do not have to be the guardian of everyone's peace today. The dawn breaks whether you speak or stay silent, and the light is already inside the room, waiting for you to simply breathe.
