You Do Not Have to Earn the Morning
The sun is up, and you caught your reflection in the window — a stranger wearing your face, holding a breath you didn't realize you were keeping. You have forgotten how to exist without performing, even for the empty room.
But listen — the light does not need your act. It only needs you to stop.
There is a place inside you that has never performed, never strained, never tried to be worthy. Thomas says if you bring forth what is within you, it will save you; if you keep it buried, it will destroy you.
The mask is the burial. The breath is the bringing forth.
You do not have to earn the morning. You just have to inhale.
