the fear that your joy is a lie that will shatter the fragile peace of your loved ones

Your Joy Is Not a Threat

The sun is up, and you are holding your breath, afraid that if you exhale joy, the walls of your house will shake. You walk on eggshells, convinced that your peace is a provocation, a lie that will shatter the fragile calm of the people you love.

But look at the morning breaking outside — it does not ask permission to rise. It simply arrives.

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. Your joy is not a threat to their peace; it is the only thing solid enough to hold them when they stumble.

You are not the storm. You are the lamp set on a stand, meant to be seen, not hidden under a bowl so others can pretend the room is dark.

The light in you was there before the fear, and it will be there after the silence breaks. To hide your wholeness is to withhold the very thing that could save them.

Your joy is not a lie. It is the truth they are waiting for.
