Your Rest Is Not a Betrayal
The sun is up, and you are awake, but your heart feels heavy because others are still in the dark. You carry a quiet guilt for resting while the world is hurting, as if your peace is a betrayal of their pain.
But the light that rises this morning does not ask you to choose between your rest and their suffering. It simply shines.
There was a father who saw his son coming home from a long way off. He ran.
Before the apology, before the speech — he ran. Your rest is not a failure of love.
It is the ground where love grows. The light does not burn out to prove it cares.
It remains. You can breathe again today without abandoning anyone.
The dawn breaks for you, too.
