The Dawn Does Not Ask You To Be Bright
The sun is up, and you are already tired. You spent the night sanding down your rough edges so everyone else could feel safe in your presence.
You wore the mask of hope because you thought love required you to be whole. But the light does not need your performance.
It saw you weep before you even opened your eyes. Go home to your own heart and tell them what the light has done for you.
The mercy is not a reward for your silence; it is the air you breathe when you finally stop holding it. You can put the armor down.
The dawn does not ask you to be bright; it only asks you to be here.
