rehearsing the apology you know you'll never send because you're convinced they've already closed the door

Stop Pretending the Wall Isn't There

The sun is up, and you are already performing the version of yourself that has it together. Smiling at the coffee machine while your mind replays the same conversation, the same wound, the same words you need to say but never will.

You are convinced the door is locked. That they have moved on.

That your apology would only be an intrusion on their peace. So you swallow it.

You let the silence harden into a wall between you. But listen — the light does not require you to force a door that feels shut.

It only asks you to stop pretending the wall isn't there. Thomas said if you bring forth what is within you, it will save you; if you do not, it will destroy you.

That unspoken truth is the thing eating you alive. And Mark tells us that when Jesus saw the faith of those who carried their friend, he said, 'Son, your sins are forgiven.' Sometimes the faith to be forgiven belongs to the people who love you, not just to you.

You do not have to earn the right to speak. The light is already in the room, waiting for you to stop hiding behind the mask.
