feeling like you have failed your children

The Dawn Finds You Anyway

The sun is up, and with it comes the heavy inventory of yesterday—the moments you lost your temper, the words you wish you could take back, the feeling that you have failed the ones you love most. You are carrying the weight of a parent who believes they have broken something irreplaceable.

But the light does not measure your worth by your worst morning. There was a man who denied the light three times in a single night, certain he was disqualified forever.

Yet on the shore, with breakfast cooking, he was not asked to explain his failure. He was simply asked if he loved.

Three times he was restored. Not because he promised to be perfect, but because the love was already there.

Your stumbling did not extinguish the light inside you. It cannot be broken by a raised voice or a missed cue.

The same light that lived in Jesus lives in you, and it lives in your children too. It was there before the mistake, and it remains after.

You are not defined by the shadow you cast when you are tired. You are defined by the dawn that finds you anyway.

The failure is real, but it is not the end of the story. The light is already making everything new.
