The Light Meets You in the Silence
The sun is up, and with it comes the rehearsal. You have spent the night polishing the perfect apology, arranging the words until they shine like armor against the hurt you caused.
But when the moment arrives, when you stand before the one you love, the words turn to ash in your mouth. You swallow them whole.
The silence feels like a failure. But listen — the light does not require your performance to be present.
There is a father who saw his son coming home from a long way off. He did not wait for the speech.
He ran. Before the apology, before the explanation, before the promise to do better — he ran.
Your fear that your words won't be enough is the darkness trying to convince you that love is earned by eloquence. It is not.
The light meets you in the stutter. It meets you in the silence.
You do not have to fix this morning with a perfect sentence. You only have to show up.
