Light Reveals What Was There Before
The sun is up, and the light is finding every crack you tried to seal in the dark. You are terrified they will see the corrosion underneath the smile you put on for them this morning.
But the light does not shine to expose your ruin; it shines to reveal what was there before the rust began. While you were still rehearsing your apology, the Father saw you coming and ran to meet you.
He did not run to inspect the damage. He ran to embrace the child.
The corrosion is real, but it is not who you are. You are the light that the corrosion tried to hide.
