The Dawn Does Not Judge Your Weakness
The sun is up, and the house is quiet enough to hear your own breathing again. You are terrified that one day, your child will look back and see the cracks in the armor you wore to keep them safe.
They will realize you were faking strength the whole time. But listen — the light does not require a perfect parent.
It only requires a present one. The rising sun shines on the exhausted just as surely as it shines on the strong.
Your child will not remember your performance. They will remember that you stayed.
The truth you fear they will find is already the thing that saves them: you were human, and you loved them anyway. The dawn is not a verdict on your weakness.
It is proof that the light returns even after the longest night of pretending.
