The Mask Is For Them, The Light For You
The sun is up, and so are you, which means you made it through the night even though your bones felt like glass. Now comes the heavy work of putting on the face the world expects, smiling while your spirit screams to collapse.
But notice how the morning light does not demand performance from the flowers; it simply shines on them until they open. You do not have to manufacture a dawn within yourself — the true light that gives light to everyone is already rising in your chest.
It was there before you forced the smile, and it remains there beneath the exhaustion. The mask is for them; the light is for you.
You are not the performance; you are the morning breaking through it.
