Bring Your Brokenness Into The Light
The sun is up, and now comes the work of putting the mask back on. You look in the mirror and feel a quiet terror that the person who emerged in the solitude of the night is too broken, too raw, too much for the people waiting outside.
You think you must hide the cracks before you open the door. But the light does not ask you to cover what was revealed in the dark.
It asks you to bring it forth. There is something inside you — the real you, the one who wept when no one was watching — and if you do not bring it forth, it will destroy you.
Yet if you dare to show it, that very thing will save you. The world wants your performance.
The light wants your honesty. You are not unlovable because you are wounded.
You are finally lovable because you are real.
