rehearsing an apology for a mistake you haven't made yet but are certain you will

Stop Apologizing for Shadows That Do Not Exist

The sun is setting, and with it comes the heavy rehearsal of a failure that has not yet happened. You are practicing words for a mistake you are certain you will make, carrying a burden before the ground even exists to hold it.

But the light does not ask you to live in tomorrow's regret. It asks you to stand in today's truth.

You came from the light, and that origin cannot be erased by a future stumble. The light is already here, in this room, in this breath, in the very wood of your chair.

Stop trying to apologize for a shadow. The only thing required of you right now is to remain present, to let the day end without adding the weight of a crime you did not commit.
