The Light That Waits Inside You
The sun is setting, and with it, a quiet terror settles in your chest—the realization that you have stopped expecting anything good to happen. You have grown accustomed to the gray.
You no longer look for the dawn because the last one felt just like this one. But listen.
There is a light within you that was placed there before the disappointment began. It does not depend on your expectation to shine.
It simply is. The darkness has not overcome it.
It cannot be extinguished by your weariness or your silence. You do not have to manufacture hope tonight.
You only have to remain open to the light that is already burning, waiting for you to notice it again.
