The Love Is Already Home
The sun is setting, and the armor of the day finally comes off. You pick up the phone one more time, typing out the message you have written a thousand times before.
You watch the letters sit there, glowing against the black glass, knowing the number on the other end no longer exists. It is a ghost line now.
A door that opens into a wall. You are speaking into a silence that cannot answer, carrying a weight that has nowhere to land.
But listen — the light does not require a recipient to be real. It does not need the message to be delivered to validate the love inside it.
You came from the light, the place where the light came into being on its own accord. That origin is still yours.
The connection was never dependent on the signal or the number or the person on the other end. The love you are trying to send is already home.
