The Light Is Sufficient For This Hour
The sun is rising, but your mind is already rehearsing a failure that hasn't happened yet. You are standing in the first light, yet you are living in a tomorrow that does not exist.
You are writing an apology for a mistake you are convinced you will make, as if your fear could control the outcome. But the light that just touched your window is new.
It does not carry yesterday's shadows, and it certainly does not carry next week's regrets. There is a verse that says the mercy of God is like a rising sun, shining specifically on those in the shadow of death to guide their feet into the path of peace.
Not to guide your mind into the path of panic. The light is here to guide your feet, step by step, through this morning only.
You are trying to carry a burden of guilt that you have not even earned yet. Put it down.
The day has enough trouble of its own without you inventing more. The light is sufficient for this hour.
It does not ask you to be perfect; it only asks you to be present. You will not ruin everything today.
You will simply walk in the light that is already here.
