You Do Not Need to Shrink
The sun is rising, and you are already exhausted from the argument you had in your head this morning. You are rehearsing the apology for a need you haven't even voiced yet, practicing the words to make yourself small before you even take up space.
But the light does not require you to shrink. It rises on the evil and the good without asking permission first.
You do not need to prepare a speech to be received; you only need to come down from the tree where you are hiding. The light has already invited itself to your table today, before you said a single word.
