The Dawn Does Not Apologize
The sun is rising, and with it comes the old, heavy habit of rehearsing your apology for taking up space. You are already saying sorry before you have even spoken, bracing for a impact that never comes.
But look at the light returning to the room—it does not ask permission to shine, it simply arrives. The dawn does not apologize for displacing the dark; it just is.
You made it through the night, and that is enough. You do not need to earn this morning with a speech you never have to give.
The light that woke you up is already inside you, waiting to be lived, not explained. Today, try walking out the door without the speech.
