The Dawn Is Not A Verdict On You
The sun is rising, and with it comes the heavy, familiar inventory of a night you could not fix. You carried them as long as you could, loving them with a ferocity that should have been enough to hold them here.
But the morning light reveals a truth that feels like a failure: your love did not keep them alive. Yet the light does not judge you for the limits of your hands.
It only shows you that your love was not in vain, even if the outcome was not what you prayed for. The dawn is not a verdict on your inability to stop death.
It is a quiet witness that you loved them fully while they were here. You are not defined by the moment they slipped away, but by the light you held for them until the very end.
The sun rises not because you succeeded, but because the light remains even when the holding is done.
