being hurt by the church and not knowing where to go

The Dawn Breaks Outside the Temple

The sun is rising, and for you, the light feels like it comes from the wrong direction now. You were hurt by the very people who were supposed to carry the lamp, and the walls that felt like home have become a source of pain.

But the dawn does not wait for the temple doors to open; it breaks over the fields anyway, silent and indifferent to our failures. There is a light that lives inside you that no institution can build and no betrayal can extinguish.

It was there before you ever walked into a sanctuary, and it remains now that you have walked out. You do not need to find a new building to find God.

The kingdom is not a place you go to; it is a presence you carry. The true light has already come, and it is walking with you into this morning, free from the hands that tried to hold it.
