the silent rehearsing of apologies for things you haven't done yet because you're certain you'll mess up again

You Do Not Have to Be Perfect

The sun is rising, and already your mind is rehearsing the apologies you'll need tonight. You are living tomorrow's failure before breakfast has even cooled.

But the morning light does not ask for your preemptive shame. It simply arrives.

Look at the birds—they do not carry the weight of tomorrow's hunger, yet they are fed. You are holding a script for a scene that has not happened, and likely never will.

The light that woke up with you today is not waiting for you to mess up so it can leave. It is already here, sufficient for this hour alone.

You do not have to be perfect to be loved by the dawn. Today is not a test you must pass; it is a gift you just received.
