The Light Does Not Keep Score
The sun is dipping below the horizon now, and with it comes the inventory. You are replaying that one sentence you said hours ago, convinced the room is still laughing at your stupidity.
But the laughter you hear is only in your own head. The others have already moved on, eaten their dinner, forgotten the moment entirely.
You are the only one still holding the stone. The light does not keep a record of your stumbles.
It sees the tired face behind the mask, the heart that beats too fast from shame, and it offers only rest. The day is done.
The performance is over. You do not have to fix the past to be loved in this present moment.
The light is not analyzing your words; it is simply sitting beside you in the quiet, waiting for you to put the armor down. The awkwardness fades, but the love remains.
