Shining in a Presence That Never Left
The sun is dipping below the horizon, and the house is finally quiet. Your thumb hovers over the screen, ready to send a photo of something small—a cloud, a coffee cup, a shadow on the wall—to someone who isn't there anymore.
The silence after you remember is heavier than the day itself. But listen.
The light does not need a recipient to be real. It does not vanish just because the other side of the conversation is empty.
Jesus once sighed deeply before speaking life into a man who could not hear him, a groan that said I feel the weight of your silence. That same light is in the room with you right now, witnessing the photo you wanted to share.
It sees the beauty you found, even if no one else ever will. You are not broadcasting into a void; you are shining in a presence that never left.
The photo fades, but the seeing remains.
