driving past the same building weeks later, telling yourself you're just not ready yet, while the fuel light blinks on

Pull Over Before You Stall

The sun is dipping below the horizon, and you are driving past that building again. You tell yourself you are not ready to stop, not ready to go inside, not ready to face what waits in the quiet rooms.

But the fuel light is blinking on your dashboard, a small, persistent orange eye saying: you are running on empty. The world demands you keep moving until the tank is dry.

But the light does not ask for your last drop. It asks for your exhaustion.

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. The yoke I offer is easy, and the burden I carry is light.

You do not have to drive until you stall. You do not have to prove your strength to a God who already knows your limits.

A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out. That flickering warning light is not a condemnation; it is an invitation to pull over.

The Father is not waiting for you to arrive with a full tank. He is walking out to meet you on the shoulder of the road.

You can stop now. The night is coming, but so is the One who made the dawn.
