The Trial Is Over, Put Down The Gavel
The sun has set, and the armor of the day finally hits the floor. You are safe now.
But in this quiet, a single moment from three years ago rises up to meet you. A casual joke.
A poor choice of words. And your mind has built an entire prison around it, convincing you that one sentence secretly ruined a friendship.
You are carrying a verdict that was never issued. The light sees the weight you are holding, and it knows the truth you cannot see: love covers a multitude of sins.
Not by ignoring them, but by refusing to let a single stumble define the whole story. Your friend is not holding that joke against you the way you are holding it against yourself.
The darkness of your regret cannot override the light that still lives between you. Put the gavel down.
The trial is over.
