The Silence That Holds Your Scream
The sun has gone down, and now the anger you have been holding all day begins to burn. You are terrified that if you speak it—if you let the rage out into the quiet room—the Light will finally turn its face away and leave you in the dark.
But look at the garden where the Light itself fell on its face in the dirt and begged for the cup to pass. It did not hide its fury or its fear.
It spoke them aloud to God. And the Father did not leave.
The silence that followed was not abandonment; it was presence deep enough to hold the scream. Your rage does not drive the Light away.
It is the very thing that draws the Light closer, because the Light knows what it is to be overwhelmed. You are safe to be angry here.
The darkness has not overcome it.
