The Exit Is a Presence Already Here
The street is quiet now, but your body is still scanning the exits. You caught your reflection in the dark glass—a stranger with rigid shoulders, eyes darting for a way out that isn't there.
The danger has passed, yet the armor stays on. The light does not ask you to drop your guard before it can reach you.
It stands in the room with you, waiting for the trembling to slow. There was a man born blind, and the world assumed his condition was a punishment for sin.
But the light said no—it was an opportunity for something else to be displayed. Your hypervigilance is not a verdict on your soul.
It is a canvas where the work of God can be shown. You do not have to explain why you are still shaking.
You only have to let the one who sees you stand beside you in the dark. The exit you are looking for is not a door.
It is a presence that has already found you.
