The Silence Is Full Of Him
The sound finally tore out of you, raw and honest, and the room did not change. The silence stayed exactly as heavy as it was before your voice broke.
It feels like the darkness swallowed your cry whole. Like no one heard.
Like the light missed the moment entirely. But listen.
The silence is not an absence. It is a holding.
The father saw his son while he was still a long way off — before the speech, before the apology, before the sound even reached the air. He ran.
The light does not need your volume to know you are there. It heard the break before you did.
Your voice cracked, and the room stayed quiet, but the light moved. The silence is not empty.
It is full of the one who ran.
