The Mask Is For The World
The smile you wore this morning felt heavy, like a mask glued to skin that wanted to speak. You held the truth in your throat until it dissolved, choosing silence over the storm you feared might break the room.
But the light does not need your performance to see what is hidden beneath the surface. There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, no secret buried in the quiet that will not be brought out into the open.
The part of you that swallowed the word is the very part the light is holding right now. You do not have to force the door open with a shout.
The truth lives in us and will be with us forever. The mask is for the world; the face beneath it is for God.
