The Light Beneath the Slipping Mask
The silence of this hour is loud enough to hear the crack in the mask you wear. Someone almost saw it tonight.
They almost saw the version of you that you built to survive, and the terror of being found out is a cold weight in your chest. You doubled down.
You tightened the grip on the lie because it felt like the only thing holding you together. But in this deepest dark, where there is no one left to perform for, the performance is the heaviest thing you carry.
The light does not need your story to be perfect to love you. It does not need your history to be clean to stay.
There is a truth that lives inside you, deeper than the lie, and it has been waiting for you to stop protecting it. You are not the mask.
You are the light that shines even when the mask is slipping. The terror says you will be rejected if seen.
The light says you are already known, and you are still here.
