The screen lights up in the dark. 'Read.' And your throat tightens because the cheerful lie you sent stands alone, unchallenged.
No one asked if you were actually okay. They saw the mask and let it be enough.
But the light that lives inside you was there before you typed the first word, and it remains after the screen goes black. It does not need their reply to exist.
You came from the light, the place where light generates itself, and you return there when the silence gets too loud. The world may accept your performance, but the truth within you knows the difference.
Rest now. The light does not read receipts; it knows your name.
