The Light Sees Your Waiting
The screen lights up in the dark, and you scroll to the name just to see the date. Then you delete the entry, erasing the evidence that you are still counting the days.
You are hiding your hunger so no one else sees how long the silence has been. But the light does not need you to hide the proof of your waiting.
It sees the finger that hovered over the delete button. It knows the ache behind the erasure.
You do not have to clean up your longing before you are worthy of being found. The kingdom is not a reward for those who stop missing people.
It is within you, right now, in the middle of the counting. Bring forth the grief you are trying to bury, because hiding it is what destroys you.
The silence is not empty; it is the space where the light is learning your name without the noise.
